“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
-Colossians 3:17 NIV
Cure-a-geous
This was commissioned by the hospital lab director during my first round of chemo treatments. They were forming a team to walk for RELAY FOR LIFE and wanted to walk on my behalf. This was the team name and the painting was to depict my walk through cancer. It was to be hung in the lab following the event.
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” -NIV
My Story
“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
— Colossians 2:2-3 NIV
PEACE IN THE STORM
The first paintings I did was the ones below. I painted a place where I found peace in a very difficult time then asked each member of my family of a place they recall experiencing God’s peace.
For me; Rock House in Hocking Hills.
For my husband; coming home
Sunset across the road
For my daughter; Shalome... Peace... her dog that helped her get through a tough time
For my daughter; Swimming in Swallow Falls in PA on a senior class trip
For my son; his guitar he was learning to play.
for the family
The next series of paintings were given to my husband’s and my siblings.
just to say thank you
When you go through a very tough situation with people surrounding you with prayer, food, and help with children, the best way I felt to show my gratitude is through the gift that God supplied me with. The paintings below were distributed to loved ones that walked alongside us.
